Soft Life Era

Meet Toi: The Woman Behind Pretty Resourceful

May 13, 20256 min read

Hey y’all! I’m Toi, a licensed REALTOR®, Atlanta native, community influencer, and full-time mom of four. I’m also the founder of Pretty Resourceful, a brand built for women who are done waiting to feel ready and are learning to build anyway. If you’re in the middle of a life shift, a personal rebuild, or finally exhaling after holding your breath for way too long… welcome. You are in exactly the right place.

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated.” —Maya Angelou

This blog and YouTube channel exist at the intersection of real estate, entrepreneurship, and personal healing, created for women who are rebuilding their lives with softness and strategy, not stress and survival mode alone.

Who Is Toi? An Atlanta REALTOR® and Community Influencer
I wear a lot of hats. On any given day I’m negotiating real estate contracts for Metro Atlanta clients, establishing partnerships to expand my network of apartment buildings, creating content for my blog and YouTube channel, helping people discover apartment locating as a real estate revenue stream, and somehow making it to every school pickup on time. (Mostly.)

As an Atlanta real estate agent and community influencer, I’ve built my career around serving people who are in transition, whether that’s buying their first home, relocating to a new city, or figuring out how to turn their skills into income. But the work I do isn’t just professional. It’s deeply personal.

The Real Story Behind the Rebuild

I don’t share my story for sympathy. I share it because I know someone reading this needs to hear it.

In my childhood, I endured a domestic abusive household, with two toxic and traumatic parents. I went to 13 different schools, constantly adjusting to new environments and instability. More recently, I faced a two-year custody battle during a pandemic that ended with me parenting my children alone, financially, and losing nearly everything that once felt secure.

Again and again, I’ve rebuilt my life here in Metro Atlanta, not with a roadmap, and definitely not with a safety net, but with faith, resilience, and relentless determination. Through all of it, I kept showing up. Smiling. Creating. Surviving.

But here’s what I’ve learned about women rebuilding their lives: strength is not the whole story. We also deserve softness. Support. A space that sees us fully.

That’s exactly why I created Pretty Resourceful.

Motherhood, Money & Mindset: What Rebuilding Actually Looks Like

My daily life is beautifully chaotic. Some moments I’m deep in a real estate contract or filming content for my YouTube channel. Other moments I’m losing my sh*t in my "mobile office", wondering if I’m doing enough.

But motherhood and entrepreneurship have taught me the most important mindset shift of my life: being resourceful isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being present.

Personal growth for women doesn’t always look like a vision board or a polished morning routine. Sometimes it looks like choosing to keep going on the hard days and then turning those hard days into a blueprint someone else can follow. That’s the kind of strategy we talk about here.

One of the Best-Kept Secrets in Real Estate: Apartment Locating

One thing I’m really passionate about sharing here is apartment locating as a real estate revenue stream, and why it’s one of the most accessible opportunities available to women right now.

You don’t need a real estate license to get started. You can work part-time. And in a growing market like Atlanta, the demand is only increasing. Between January and March of this year alone, I personally helped 14 clients find their perfect apartments. It’s flexible, rewarding, and one of the income streams I’ll be teaching inside the P.R. Collective.
